Summary
Responsible for the overall management and strategic planning involved with important and large-scale business projects. Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes to the development of the organization's business strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Typically manages multiple teams of professionals.
Core Responsibilities
• Handles research, design, and development of corporate level projects that deliver cost-effective services to support the Company's business objectives.
• Reviews successes and failures of completed projects. Recommends alternatives or adjustments to correct problems or solidify successes in the perspective of current and proposed operating strategies.
• Evaluates outside service providers or contractors; provides direction in the development of tailored services; negotiates contract terms and conditions.
• Directs project teams in the development and implementation of project plans.
• Instructs team on project-specific assignments.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Solve customer needs and concerns through product innovations.
• Prepare comprehensive budget that delivers the greatest value to the business.
• Organize training for employees as needed.
• Work with other managers to create a long-term company strategy.
• Develop project plans, workstream structures and communications strategies for workstreams/projects assigned.
• Manage the project/workstream and team through the deliverables associated with the project/workstream by establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to plans and schedules by holding leads accountable as appropriate.
• Provide project management leadership and expertise. Serve as the source of truth on delivery commitments and ensure all parties are on the same page regarding objectives and definition of success.
• Identify project risks and mitigation plans as appropriate and drive mitigation solutions to completion.
• Communicate with stakeholders including development teams, business architecture, operations, sales, sales engineering, product and Sr. Leadership as required.
• Function as the Product Delivery Lead, managing the end to end schedule from design through trial and deployment.
• Responsible for the Day to Day program management of the trial and deployment phase of the program and the central point of contact for program issues with the field.
• Build, Own and Update the end to end delivery schedule.
• Use technical expertise to contribute to architecture and engineering activities as appropriate.
• Provide leadership as assigned and support all existing communication forums as needed as well as proactively suggest & implement new forums as appropriate.
• Assess and report on program status on a weekly basis.
• Manage and mentor employees.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education Level
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent. Technical degree is highly desirable.
• Master's degree desirable
