Associate Producer, Talk Programming

Position Summary:
Serve as Associate Producer for various SiriusXM Talk Programming shows.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the operations of LIVE broadcasts to ensure that all aspects of the show are flawlessly executed. Including studio/board operations, live reads, and inventory.
• Bank and screen phone calls as needed.
• Serve as primary fill-in producer for various talk programs, including political and specialty programming.
• Work with visiting talent and other broadcast facilities to ensure broadcasts run successfully.
• Assist in training of new hires on studio operations and audio editing.
• Work with Talk Operations staff to update training manuals.
• Perform studio booking and interfacility booking duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• A least one year of experience at radio station or audio production facility.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Experience working in live radio, preferably Talk.
• Flexible schedule, must be available to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Thorough understanding and ability to work in the areas of news, politics, and pop culture.
• Comfortable working with talent, artists, and other high profile individuals.
• Ability to work with off-site ("remote") talent - communicating mostly via email/Skype/phone.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Experience with broadcast operation software (Prophet, AudioVault, Dalet, etc), and familiarity with digital audio editing software (ProTools, Audition, SoundForge, etc).
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
