Job Summary
The Assistant Media Buyer with our Social Marketplace Team will be responsible for assisting with monitoring, optimizing, and reporting on our paid social media campaigns. Working with client strategists, you will assist with campaign management on our active buys.

• Assisting in developing proposals for paid social media campaigns
• Assisting to manage administrative and internal set-up, including reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each campaign
• Assist in monitoring and reporting of campaign performance and proactively communicate any issues to internal teams, when necessary
• Assist Media Manager in management of buys from set-up to keyword selection to targeting buckets to optimization to reporting. Combine data analysis and client feedback to configure, operate and optimize campaigns to meet client objectives.
• Assisting strategist with campaign management and third party tracking requirements for all buys
• Use data during and post-campaign to optimize and draw greater conclusions about clients’ business in consultation with senior marketplace managers and supervisors
• Understand the pros and cons of multiple API platforms, and maintain a line of contact with FMPs and paid social API partners looking to enter the self-serve market
• Work in tandem with client teams to draw greater learnings from social campaign actions
• Help set-up keyword selection to targeting buckets to optimization to reporting. Combine data analysis and client feedback to configure, operate and optimize campaigns to meet client objectives.
• Help the Media Manager monitor and report on campaign performance and proactively communicate any issues to internal team and client, when necessary
• Help the Media Manager provide active voice in communication optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities
• Help strategists communicate campaign success metrics to clients
• Assist with overall team administrative duties
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will often work closely with team interns in an education capacity, though there are no direct supervision responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills Required
The ideal candidate would have some past exposure to different API platforms, have an affinity for data, and the ability to think on his or her feet.
• Degree in statistics, analytics, social media marketing, digital marketing preferred
• Past exposure from an internship or work experience to online advertising environments involving paid social buys (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest)
• 6 months to 1 year of related work experience or a past internship in social media paid buying
• Strong analytical skills and comfortable with data
• Attention to detail and great time management skills
• Extreme proficiency with Excel
Certificates, licenses and registrations
Facebook Blueprint and Twitter Flight School preferred, but not required.
