Job Summary:
The VP/Director of Sales primary responsibility is to develop a cohesive and energetic sales and marketing team, maximizing Local and National advertising opportunities to drive successful collaboration through current iHeartMedia assets. This leader will be a player/coach, able to support their team throughout the sales process and generate senior level discussions and partnerships at the client and agency level. The right candidate is a team player and brings a consultative approach to the role. The candidate will have an acute strategic ability and must develop and manage an account road map to achieve various business objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the Chicago Multi-Market Sales (MMS) team through recruiting, training, and growing exceptional sales talent within the organization
• Develop and grow relationships and partnerships with senior management at client and agency level
• Develop sales growth through all iHeartMedia assets which include: radio, digital, event sponsorship, and endorsement
• Manage team against quarterly and annual sales metrics
• Leads VP’s, Senior Account Executives, Promotions Managers and Sales Assistants in development, sales techniques, training, design of marketing plans & presentations, and support
• Conduct ongoing rate, inventory compliance, growth strategies and market condition projections with local iHeartMedia markets to achieve organizational success
• Executes and organizes internal and external meetings, presentations, and recaps
• Other duties as assigned or requested
• A passion for creativity, therefore delivering impactful & creative marketing solutions to clients and agencies
• Working knowledge of media measurement based on current marketplace demand
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to quickly pivot in a fast- paced environment
• Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including delivering effective presentations and leading meetings
• Keen ability to assess situations, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions
• Ability to think through and develop processes that contribute to enhanced organizational efficiency
