OVERVIEW OF ROLE (Scope)
The Director, Yield Management will drive the growth and optimization of direct and non-direct revenue. This individual will manage inventory and rate optimization. They will serve as the primary Pricing and Planning contact for day-to-day campaigns across a broad range of monetization channels, including direct, programmatic and remnant. The Director will drive the execution of yield optimization strategy across our network of properties. This role will be focused on providing a roadmap to effectively monetize inventory across multiple platforms, including Digital and VOD. The position will play a critical role in revenue growth through the effective use of pricing and planning strategies.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute and oversee day-to-day yield management of all AMCN Digital/VOD inventory. Oversee inventory management, forecasting, pricing, and yield optimization to maximize revenue across all demand sources Assist with RFP responses, including inventory packaging and pricing recommendations based on current sell out levels and marketplace Develop, evaluate and approve deals (impressions by show and network, and pricing) to maximize revenue and optimize inventory Prepare quarterly budgets and annual forecasts for each of the AMC Networks Digital properties Evaluate profitability of direct, bulk and indirect advertising deals and business partnerships Forecast inventory availability, sell-through, employing statistical analysis and modeling when needed Recommend, refine and develop new reporting for yield management, inventory management and sales

QUALIFICATIONS(Required & Preferred)
• 5+ years’ experience in digital ad sales in an inventory management/quantitative/analytical role
• Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape with knowledge of digital video, mobile video, VOD and programmatic
• Experience with Nielsen OCR/DAR and/or comScore vCE
• Knowledge of Yield optimization tools, Yieldex, Google DFP, FreeWheel, Data Management Platforms, Google AdX, DSM or other sales management platforms a plus
• Strong ability to identify problems and creatively seek solutions -- including working with multiple departments (sales, technology, finance)
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, etc.) and other data analysis tools
• B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or other analytically and quantitatively focused field
• Experience working with large data sets and must possess very strong analytic, strategic problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize the needs of multiple customers, both internal and external
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, external clients and 3rd party vendors
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, etc.) and other data analysis tools
• Self Starter who can handle multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
