Position Summary:
The Senior Platform Product Manager will own the vision, direction, roadmap and product deliverables for Automatic's core product platform. He/she will translate business requirements from partners, customers as well as internal teams working on consumer products to create platform component requirements and drive the evolution of the API and overall SOA platform within larger architecture, product design and planning processes.
Following implementation, the position will monitor usage/results using both quantitative feedback from reporting tools and qualitative feedback from users, recommend changes/enhancements and advance ongoing improvements. This product manager will also be responsible for developer relations and building a thriving developer community. He/she will partner with the marketing team to host events such as hackathons and serve as developer evangelist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for creating and maintaining long term product roadmap
• Define and drive platform related product deliverables.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and create comprehensive product requirements with acceptance criteria that can be leveraged by Dev. and QA teams.
• Develop a prioritized product backlog using both quantitative feedback from reporting tools (SparkSQL and Superset) and qualitative feedback (Google Analytics)
• Own the full product life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities to ensure on-time product delivery.
• Develop strong end user empathy and serve as the voice of the customer to the platform team
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as a Platform Product Manager for a platform that was used to power consumer products
• Possess technical fluency -- the ability to understand and evaluate trade-offs inherent to product development
• Automotive industry experience is a big plus.
• Agile training and experience preferred.
• Experience with mobile hardware + software preferred.
Requirements and General Skills:

• Ability to utilize and interpret data to drive and support product decisions.

• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.

• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Strong interest in latest technology trends.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• We are major users of REST APIs, Apache Spark and Amazon SQS. Candidate must haveexperience with REST APIs and SQL at minimum.
