Communications Intern (Security Services), Corporate - Spring 2018
SPE’s Global Security Department is responsible for protecting SPE’s people, assets and business operations. The Department’s areas of focus include: Security Operations, Studio Parking, Employee Protection Programs, Piracy Prevention, Global Intelligence/Threat Analysis support, Global Security Technology endeavors and a myriad of other related functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The focus of this internship is to support the baseline development of the Department’s security awareness and education platform intended for the Sony global population. The project will include strategic planning in developing, implementing and marketing of the security awareness and education program for global communication. Intern will be responsible for reaching out to key stakeholders to discuss training topics, assist in develop marketing surrounding each awareness/education campaign and ensure effective rollout to the global community.
• Secondary projects will include development of Global Security document and information management tools, documentation of internal processes and procedures, assistance with auditing of training and compliance measures, and other projects as needed.
• The intern will learn about the role of the corporate security function in modern business, from governance to risk mitigation and loss prevention, and will be exposed to the particular risks and challenges facing businesses in the entertainment industry. In this role, the intern will continue to develop critical/strategic thinking and problem solving skills and gain invaluable experience writing for targeted business audiences. In addition, the intern will gain project management skills, analyze and understand business processes, and develop solutions that meet diverse business requirements while working in a dynamic team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent communications skills (verbal/written) required.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within prescribed deadlines a plus.
• Ability to create business solutions and interpret business needs is essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.
• Experience with Visio, MS Access and SharePoint highly desired.
• Web design experience also highly desired.

This Spring internship is from Tuesday, January 9th or Wednesday, January 17th through May 4, 2018. All candidates must be able to work 10-29 hours a week with respect to their school schedule and be enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of their internship.
