Job Description
Dow Jones is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to join our team. This person will manage the administration of HR processes for the People Operations department. This is an entry level position with high visibility to senior level executives within Dow Jones and News Corporation. We are looking for someone who is detailed-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and a self-starter.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and organize business requirements from People Team.
• Maintain reports and documentation including: systems improvement reports, process maps and weekly status reports, etc.
• Verify Workday transactions accuracy processed by the People Ops Team.
• Prepare executive presentations for the People Ops Team.
• Coordinate project logistics including: scheduling meetings, updating project timelines, communicating deliverables, distributing materials and presenting systems demos, etc.
• Create process guides and other reference materials for employee training.
• Coordinate system testing with People Business Partners, gather/organize feedback to technology team, provide status updates to system users.
• Assist in researching best practices and extracting applicable system improvements.
• Provide functional guidance to People Business Partners in processing system transactions.
• Ad-hoc duties such as handling special People projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Advanced MS Powerpoint and Excel skills especially Vlookup and Pivot Tables.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers of all organizational levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Knowledge of presentation design and template usage.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources management, Business or Public Administration, organizational management, organizational psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of MS Visio and MS Project is preferred.
