Overview
The Multimedia Planner/Digital Architect works closely with the advertising sales teams to develop multimedia advertising campaigns and develop complex digital sales solutions matching client needs to Orlando Sentinel products. They are the liaison between online, print and marketing staffs pulling together all necessary elements and details into a comprehensive solution supporting the sales efforts. Point person for digital sales related questions, training and reporting while actively involved in department wide projects to further grow our digital solutions.
Responsibilities
• Fosters open communication amongst all stakeholders
• Organizes and creates sales research and competitive information.
• Works directly with sellers to determine pre-sales research needs. Conducts pre-sales fact-finding to assist in sale and/or product development.
• Collaborates with the sales and marketing teams to determine client solution
• Communicates all sponsorship programs to sales staff and ensure sales staff is knowledgeable about all upcoming opportunities
• Work closely with the sales support teams to facilitate fulfillment (delivery), tracking and billing of campaigns to ensure that deliverables meet client expectations
• Works in partnership with sales teams and management to develop new products and services to meet changing client needs
• Creates media plans and special promotions tailored to client needs.
• Proactively identifies potential new business clients and creates plans to sell.
• When appropriate, interacts with marketing staff to identify appropriate presentations for sales clients. Provides necessary sales collateral as needed.
• When appropriate, makes sales calls to identify client needs.
• Must be able to quote rates for the full Orlando Sentinel product line.
Qualifications
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
• Must have creative, effective and efficient PowerPoint skills
• Experience coordinating complex advertising campaigns
• Must be an effective at multi-tasking and have exceptional time-management skills
• Must be comfortable interacting with large clients in person and over the phone
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of Interactive Advertising industry preferred
• Must have a positive attitude and be driven to optimize results for clients
