As the Senior Product Manager for Payments, Subscriptions & Fraud at Ellation, you will be the product owner for a team of cross-functional developers focused on building the payment, subscription management and fraud platform that redefines the Streaming Video On Demand (SVOD) viewing experience. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about building services and capabilities that power Ellation’s multiple clients.
In this role, you will research external payment providers, create and present strategies for internal/external powered payment scenarios, develop the product roadmap for payments/subscription/fraud services, socialize and distill the roadmap into discrete initiatives, and own the backlog of user stories for a cross-functional development team. You will be responsible for Ellation’s payment REST APIs and optimization for web, mobile, and living room devices. You will drive capabilities and define solutions for Ellation's diverse needs including intersection with e-commerce and risk/fraud.
This is a cross-functional role; in addition to your product owner responsibilities working closely with engineering, you will work collaboratively with the architecture, design, data, finance and marketing teams to identify, prioritize and deliver a best-in-class payments, reporting, and subscriptions experience. You will develop consumer insights via data analytics and customer segmentation studies to drive projects, products and features.
Responsibilities:
• Own the payments, subscription & fraud services product backlog
• Deliver a world-class consumer video payments subscription service
• Support the strategy and define the roadmap for a platform that collects and processes global payments for subscriptions
• Take ownership of the payment process end to end, including checkout, recurring billing optimization, collections, and financial reporting
• Own the integration of and manage multiple third party payment systems globally
• Support the evaluation, selection, and ensuring success of locally preferred and alternative payment methods across the globe
• Partner with internal and external teams to identify, prioritize, develop, and launch a world class payment experience to support customer acquisition and retention
• Create product specifications and work with engineering, QA, and operations teams to build and ship high quality products and features, with consideration for scale, efficiency, and performance
• Establish methods for quantifying success of payment products and report out to senior leadership teams
Required Qualifications:
• Domain expertise in online payment systems (CNP) or payments operations
• Experience developing a subscription or membership program, with focus on customer acquisition and retention
• Experience developing online fraud prevention strategy and executing them
• Strong experience in core product management, including customer analysis, market segmentation, KPI management, operational management and roadmap development
• Experience in defining, driving and shipping mass market consumer software or services
• 5+ years' experience with software or technology product management and/or development
• 3+ years' experience managing platform APIs as a product through the full life-cycle
• 3+ years' experience with service oriented architecture and Agile development methodologies
• 3+ years' experience leading and effectively managing a complex platform that is highly reliable and scalable
• Adept at setting strategic direction, prioritizing product objectives, debating opinions, and developing product roadmaps
• Ability to analyze user behavior data, financial data, and perform A/B testing to drive conclusions and recommendations
• Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
• Passionate about understanding customers and their behavior
• Excellent cross-functional project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years experience in product management
