Overview
tronc, home to Los Angeles Times, San Diego Union-Tribune and many other award winning publications, is looking to hire a Talent Acquisition Coordinatorin our downtown Los Angeles office. In this role, you'll contribute to the overall success of the Talent Acquisition group by providing an outstanding quality of administrative support across the Talent Acquisition team on day-to day functions of the recruitment process. By providing elite customer service, you’ll be ensuring a smooth and positive experience for not only the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers, but also all potential employees of tronc.

Responsibilities
• Partner with all members of the interview process including the hiring teams, recruiters, and candidates
• Schedule interviews and travel as needed for candidates while fostering a meaningful candidate experience
• Coordinate phone and in-person interviews with recruiters and hiring managers in a timely and effective manner
• Send out interview confirmation and directions to all involved parties
• Meet and escort candidates attending on-site interviews, providing a warm welcome and positive candidate experience
• Ensure candidates complete Employment Application forms as needed
• Prepare and distribute offer letters, run background checks, and initiate on-boarding
• Liaise with recruiters, HR partners and hiring managers to ensure pre-hire procedures run effectively
• Utilize applicant tracking system to ensure candidate status and information is current
• Post positions on niche sites and manage talent pool engagement and communication campaigns
• Take part in other talent acquisition projects, for example attending career fairs or conducting candidate phone screens
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or related
• 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in an HR or Recruitment department
• Previous applicant tracking systems experience preferred (iCIMS preferred)
• Must possess strong technical skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Must be customer service oriented with good follow-up skills and the ability to professionally interact with all levels of management
• Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, fluid work environment with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage time efficiently
• Strong organizational skills, proven attention to detail/accuracy is required
• Must have experience in handling confidential information appropriately
• Takes the initiative to solve problems, maintain and improve processes, get answers to questions and maintain confidence in dealing with a variety of different parties
• Detail-oriented problem solver with a desire to contribute to the organization's reputation and success.
