Job Title:
Manager of Business Development
Job Summary:
Manager Business Development is responsible for helping the SapientRazorfish team develop a robust pipeline of sales prospects and new clients for SR’s South region, and for actively contributing to the agency’s pitch strategies, pitch project management, proposal responses and development of presentations.

Primary Responsibilities
• Assisting Director of Business Development and Client Executives in the preparation of sales materials and responses to RFP’s and RFI’s.
• Working as needed in outbound capacities to reach-out to new prospects and/or developing relationships that move towards actual sales opportunities
• Becoming, as needed, the agency’s first and primary source of contact to prospects
• Identifying opportunities based on understanding of South region business climate and SapientRazorfish’s specific areas of business practice, including:
• Marketing Services, Web Experience Design, e-Commerce platforms, Content Management Systems.
• Working across agency disciplines in a project management capacity when driving pitch efforts. This will include working not only within the Washington-based office, but also with other key allied offices including Miami
• Managing the South sales pipeline report utilizing Salesforce.com tools
• Working with senior Client Executives to bring to reality the opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts
• Managing ongoing relationships with prospects
• Work closely, as required, with SapientRazorfish’s network of strategic
Experience Guidelines:
• 3-5 years of experience in an advertising agency, consultancy, software company or interactive publisher working in a sales or sales-support function.
• Experience working directly with clients and prospects
• Experience working in sales environment with performance quotas
• History of working on efforts to establish, expand and close complex, multi-million-dollar service engagements
• Competitive industry knowledge
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to make compelling presentations to an audience of diverse business stakeholders
• Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with strong understanding and experience of PowerPoint and ideally Keynote.
• Familiarity with salesforce.com preferred
• Some travel may be required, but likely only 10-15%
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or general business.
