Job DescriptionThe Digital Account Supervisor directs and executes program activity on assigned accounts. This position functions as the lead point-of-contact between MXM and the client program manager.
The Digital Account Supervisor supports the Account Director in the development and implementation of the strategic plan on multiple programs with delivery through digital, mobile and CRM channels. The incumbent nurtures strong client partnerships built on quality, customer service and trust. This position facilitates creative design, web development, content development, and financial processes for assigned programs in a seamless manner.
The Digital Account Supervisor manages multiple facets of client programs, and oversees communication/dissemination of all relevant program information to internal and external team members (client, internal, and outside partners).
The Digital Account Supervisor ensures programs are on track to accomplish program objectives and results set forth on the scope of work and project brief. This role is responsible for developing a trusted client relationship that enables effectively understanding and documenting client queries in a timely manner, communicating those queries to the MXM cross-functional team, and partnering with the internal team to ensure projects are on time and meet client expectations. Additionally, the Account Supervisor serves as the category and marketing expert and maintains expertise related to client businesses, competition and trends.
The Digital Account Supervisor may manage an Account Executive.
Essential Job Functions
70% - Client Service and Account Management - Work with Account and Group Directors to develop statements of work and creative briefs by aligning with client on program objectives. Manage internal and external processes, assess resources, and confer with Group Director/Account Director. Interface with clients, MXM team members, partner agencies and peers to ensure projects are on target with objectives, budget and schedule. Intercede between day-to-day client and day-to-day team for issues related to changes in project scope, budget or strategic creative direction. Facilitates understanding of clear projects objectives, timing expectations and resolutions related to project scope, budget, or strategic direction between internal and external teams on assigned projects.
15% - Strategy and Planning - Work with Group Director/Account Director to grow existing programs and/or generate new programs by leveraging client relationships, client feedback, program measurement, new products/services or unmet needs.
15% Financial - Initiate and manage processes related to pricing, invoicing and budgets, to obtain the Account Director/Group Director's approval. Oversee client program financial performance, working with assigned MXM business managers to understand and manage key factors driving profitability on accounts. Support the Account Director/Group Director in developing new or renewal contracts.
Minimum Qualifications:
All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. Digital experience required.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years related work experience in a marketing or advertising environment, specifically the digital space
Experience in digital/mobile/ technology development industry strongly preferred
Ability to interpret tech language and question complex digital briefs
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have strong interpersonal skills and be a good team player.
Must have the ability to manage and direct resources (Meredith and others) to aid client in achieving its marketing objectives, while managing a budget and timeline.
Must understand communications landscape and understand roles of various channels in marketing communications, including digital, mobile, print and CRM.
Be able to support a project, working closely with a project manager or producer. Must be a strategic thinker with problem solving skills
Must have strong attention to detail
Must be able to work effectively and confidently across departments and at all management levels (internally and externally.)
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to contribute in a variety of tasks
Experience in overseeing the launch and/or redesign of websites is a plus
Must be able to work independently or with minimal supervision
