Windows Systems Administrator
Overview

The Orchard is looking for an Windows Systems Administrator to join our dynamic NYC team.
Responsibilities
• Manage and administer an Active Directory domain
• Test and deploy GPOs and configurations
• Manage Systems running Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012R2
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and harden systems
• Maintain system documentation
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
• Stay current with system information, changes and updates
• Test and deploy system updates
• Troubleshoot computer hardware, software or network issues
• Setup and manage system backups and restores
• Manage applications and services on premises and on hosted platforms
• Aid monitoring, response and intervention for IT related security incidents and violations and site outages
• Research, recommend and implement relevant technologies to streamline day to day operations
Qualifications
• Five or more years’ experience with Windows Server systems and administration including (but not limited to) Active Directory, DNS, and Domain Controllers
• Ability to troubleshoot and assist with hardware, software, and network problems
• Experience with system imaging and device management
• Experience with SQL
• Microsoft certification or equivalent preferred
• Experience with Amazon Web Services preferred
• Strong ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience working in an Agile framework
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
