Job Title
Assoc Marketing Director - Allrecipes Magazine
The Associate Marketing Director manages the marketing, promotion and merchandising activity surrounding the integrated brand assets (print, digital, experiential/events, etc.) for Allrecipes magazine.
This position oversees the creation, development and management of added value programs, in-magazine native units, revenue-generating advertiser solutions and multi-platform sales solutions.
This position works closely with internal sales/marketing colleagues and external agencies/clients to conceive, write and pitch integrated marketing proposals, and execute sold programs.
This position writes promotional copy and collaborates with the Art Director to create strategic presentations, sales collateral and media kit materials.
This position manages current signature programs and seeks/develops new programs and partnerships that best support and enhance the brand.
This position liaises with Meredith digital marketers, corporate marketing, editorial, research and the internal events team.
Essential Job Functions

Conceives, develops and pitches advertiser programs around Allrecipes’ print and integrated brand assets.
20%
Manages and executes advertiser programs/promotions/partnerships.
10%
Works closely with Group Marketing Director to develop strategic sales programs/presentations/partnerships to help drive sales and revenue. Writes copy, collaborates with art department to create corresponding sales materials.

Delegates, oversees and manages the Associate Marketing Manager for AR-related projects
10%
Attends Sales Calls to pitch integrated marketing solutions and promotional programs.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
Experience:
8-10 years of magazine marketing experience including prior experience in all aspects of merchandising and sales promotion
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be a creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop customer-focused, results-oriented programs
Strong business and promotional copywriting skills
Ability to work well with sales and editorial staff, other internal departments, clients and outside vendors
Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal communication skills
Must be highly organized with attention to detail
Ability to demonstrate a high level of creativity and team spirit
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of digital media, sales and metrics
Basic understanding of advertising research helpful
Proficiency in all Microsoft programs necessary
