Overview
Sell digital advertising and services to new clients. This role will seek new opportunities to provide digital solutions across targeted categories. Primary focus will be on activating accounts and referring additional business. This role includes heavy hunting in the field on a daily basis and the ability to grasp and explain emerging media and baseline mobile and social media strategies to local businesses.
Responsibilities
• Increase the company’s digital revenue with new clients across targeted local business categories
• Basic skills include aggressive cold calling, needs-analysis selling, strong interpersonal skills and ability to utilize emerging technologies to present compelling analytics, competitive activity and make recommendations within the search, mobile and social media space
• Present accurate pricing and value of digital offerings to clients while ensuring accurate billing & fulfillment of solutions promised
• Persistent follow-up and strong relationship management skills
• Daily usage of online applications to demonstrate capabilities, competitive analysis, client contact management and sales tracking
• Focused solution selling within the digital services portfolio, while maintaining a basic level of knowledge across all Tronc products including print, digital, developing businesses and commercial printing
• Develop internal relationships with sales counterparts within your local territory and partner with them when appropriate to sell digital advertising solutions
• Actively communicate territory opportunities and challenges with Sales manager
Qualifications
• IAB Certification preferred.
• 6-8 years previous sales experience a must
• Candidates must be Social Media users and have a strong comprehension of emerging media and technologies.
• Candidates must have a proven track record closing new business.
• Candidate must be highly motivated, persuasive and have strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Candidates must be flexible, able to work at a fast pace, consultative and have the ability to work independently.
• Requires proficient selling, presentation, time management and be comfortable utilizing mobile technology tools to service customers.
• Requires the ability to travel to customer sites and industry functions. Requires a valid driver’s license.
