Job Description
A highly skilled individual who has a proven track record and takes pride in bringing high-quality product quickly to market, enjoys learning and applying new technologies, and thrives in a dynamic engineering-oriented work environment. Responsible for developing front end (browser) and server side code to build highly scalable, interactive web sites using node.js, JavaScript, mongodb, PHP, HTML5, CSS3. Serve as the technology lead for front-end development initiatives for our sites. Managing web development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment. Building web sites responsive web design that can be leveraged across multiple devices including tablets and phones. Research new technologies, methodologies, architecture patterns so as to select the correct solution depending on the need. Assess areas of re-use and architect solutions that can be easily integrated across products. Ensure that solutions are architected and implemented to scale. Write logic in the appropriate programming language to meet the functional requirements. Ensure the appropriate test cases are implemented. Ensure proper documentation of code before the code is deployed to production. Provide all required development and operational support to ensure the web site is performing to standards while ensuring stability.
Qualification Requirements
(1) Developing websites using node.js, JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3
(2) Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with common libraries (express, requirejs, npm)
(3) Hands on Node.js experience is highly preferred
(4) Experience with No-SQL database like mongodb
(5) Proficient in a Unix/Linux, CentOS
(6) Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS
Educational Requirements College Degree
Other Skills and Knowledge Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than twelve (12) months.
