ILMxLAB, Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment division, is seeking a Brand Marketing & PR Coordinator to support all brand, marketing, and publicity efforts for the group. Ideal candidate will have a hunger to help grow our emerging sector within the Lucasfilm and the Walt Disney companies, in new storytelling technology markets.
Responsibilities
• Support all product marketing and publicity efforts for various partners and projects like Magic Leap, The Void, untitled Vader VR, and additional unannounced efforts.
• Manage all calendaring efforts inclusive of events, marketing/PR beats, asset releases, and other major milestones.
• Coordinate onsite demos for various internal and external VIP groups; be able to entertain guests and showcase group content + capabilities with professionalism, discretion, and elegance.
• Execute all social media posts; collaborate on strategy and creative ideas within ILMxLAB’s voice which appropriately captures team voice and hits brand strategy.
• Identify and track awards; drive group towards smart submission decisions and execute all steps for said submissions.
• Send weekly internal marketing and PR wrap ups to teams; work with manager on internal communications strategy.
• Organize and route all assets and materials supporting campaigns; create and track workback schedules for major milestones, launches, etc.
• Participate in partner and internal meetings, greenlights, and more.
• Complete industry research focusing on creative, forward thinking campaigns.
• Other departmental support such as note taking, creating calendar invites for specific business needs, and completing expense reports on an as-need basis.
• Occasional travel to support business may be required.
Requirements:
• 1-3 years’ experience in a related field (marketing, PR, brand) desired.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication a must.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Must be able to handle sensitive information and VIPs with discretion and professionalism.
• Candidate must have a solutions-oriented attitude and be a team player.
• Candidate must be a creative problem solver, forward-thinking, and details-oriented.
• Capable of tracking a high volume of work and shifting elements on a day-to-day basis.
• Interest or experience in immersive entertainment, virtual reality, or other forms of digital entertainment a huge plus.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, MS office, Mac computers.
