Job Description:
Job Summary
The role of the Senior Designer, Social Creative Strategy is to lead visual design executions across multiple brands and projects. The Senior Designer will report to the Associate Director, Social Creative Strategy, Design. This person will lead brainstorms, direct photoshoots, and execute creative, all in an effort to bring to life a brand’s social strategy.The Senior Designer will work in tandem with the Senior Creative Manager, Social Strategy & Design to ensure visuals aesthetics are of the highest quality. This person will also have supervisor responsibilities over Designers, Junior Designers and/or Design Interns to oversee their subordinate’s design executions and professional growth.

• Responsible for the design execution for multiple brands across an array of social platforms.
• Work with Content Strategists to lead strategic thinking of creative concepts for campaigns and content calendars.
• Work with a Designer, Junior Designer and/or Design Intern to complete designs tasks for their brands.
• Be a thought leader in team meetings and to lead brainstorms of their own to develop new concepts.
• Lead client relation and communications from a day-to-day design point of view.
• Help lead client presentations with the creative strategy team.
• Communicate with the Associate Director to discuss: creative process, internal development and timelines.
• Continue to bolster Horizon’s creative offerings and portfolio with eye-catching design.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing at least one Designer, Junior Designer and/or Design Intern.
• Approving timesheets, managing PTO and time off requests.
• Conducting performance reviews and managing expectations of junior employees.
• Setting expectations for growth potential for junior employees.
Knowledge and Skills Required
• 6+ years’ experience in digital design, preferably with an agency background.
• A wide-understanding of design as it pertains to social strategy and execution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and direction.
• Confidence in presenting to colleagues and clients.
• Knowledgeable across all social platforms while expanding skills to fit an ever-changing landscape.
• Proficient in the Adobe suite focusing on Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
• Experienced in leading photoshoots, using DSLRs and post-production techniques.

• There are no requirements for certificates, licenses and registrations.
Physical Activity and Work Environment
• Position may involve light physical activity pertaining to photoshoots. This includes lifting tripods, sandbags and props or balancing on stepstools for extended periods of time.
