The Crown Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House is seeking a Publicity and Marketing Assistant for its Currency, Crown Forum and Convergent imprints reporting into the Director of Marketing and Executive Publicist.
Currency publishes today’s most influential thought leaders across a range of creative disciplines with a primary focus on business, innovation, entrepreneurship; economics and finance, as well as individual organizational, and societal transformation and growth. Crown Forum is one of the leading publishers of politically conservative authors and points of view. Convergent publishes exceptional nonfiction that inspires, entertains, and illuminates while helping readers and communities thrive through a faith perspective.
Duties include:
• Providing administrative support for the Director of Marketing and Executive Publicist
• Assisting with implementation of book publicity campaigns, including press updates, event logistics, and maintaining author schedules
• Assisting with book marketing campaigns, including running and optimizing Facebook advertising campaigns and creating and routing promotional material and copy
• Coordinating communication pieces: press materials, and promotional items
• Coordinating mailings, including writing accompanying letters
• Researching & updating important lists, including media and relevant organizations
• Additional projects and responsibilities will be assigned as needed
The ideal candidate has:
• A BA in either English, journalism, public relations, marketing, business, history, or political science
• Some relevant internship or work experience in a related field (preferred but not required)
• Experience in book publishing (preferred but not required)
• Impeccable attention to detail and a proactive and independent approach to work
• Experience with social media, SEO, web development, Google Analytics, etc.
• Experience with Cision Media Source and Photoshop (preferred, but not required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
Salary for this position is $38,000. Full-time employees are eligible for our comprehensive benefits program
