Job Description

This position is for a six-month full-time paid role within the team—with many of our interns finding full-time employment with Storyful following the internship.
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate from undergraduate or graduate school
This internship will also focus on using a mixture of best-in-class digital research tools and investigative instincts to research social trends and audience behaviors to provide analysis around events, launches, audiences and products—major areas of interest to companies. The internship will focus on all we do in the Intelligence department from answering briefs, to monitoring crises, to discovering influencers, and performing deep social research.
The selected intern will be based in our New York City headquarters, where they will work with our brands team. You’ll be trained on our state-of-the-art technology and learn our processes for uncovering, analyzing and monitoring social data from around the world for brands and agencies. Our interns work as fully-fledged members of the team, so all we ask is that you come in ready to learn and take direction from day one.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• An excellent command of English is a prerequisite, copy editing and writing skills are preferred.
• An interest in research and analytics is required.
• Familiarity and strong understanding of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Google +, Tumblr, etc.
• Experience looking at social metrics and insights to drive data-driven decisions.
• Foreign language skills, particularly in Spanish and Mandarin, are preferred, but not required
• Degree in English, journalism, communications or marketing preferred; Research experience, proficiency with data analysis a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contributing to in-depth and industry-leading intelligence reports and newsletters for global clients, learning bespoke external and external tools.
• Partner with Corporate Intelligence team to assist in the creation of insights reports from data pull to polishing for final delivery as well as to provide support during ongoing monitoring and crisis situations.
• Assist in copy editing, presentation creation and internal workflow responsibilities.
• Conduct research based on requests from clients or internal sales and business-development teams and deliver briefs on discoveries in a timely, clear manner.
• Write and edit concise and accurate copy to the highest standard for delivery to clients.
