OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
AMC Networks (AMCN) is looking for a senior technology executive that will be leader in AMCN’s ongoing focus to innovate and leverage technology to our business objectives. The Vice President, Enterprise Applications & Solutions is the strategic interface with AMCN’s sales, operations and programming departments and serves as the technology advisor to senior business leaders. The VP, Enterprise Applications & Solutions will work hand-in-hand with business leaders to understand their strategic and emerging needs, as well as their current requirements and key initiatives. They will establish and execute against a business aligned technology strategy and roadmap and actively communicate and validate the priorities and status on the delivery of the technology solutions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Senior technology leader responsible for the development and delivery of the technology roadmaps and solutions for the following AMCN organizations:
• Ad-sales
• Affiliate Sales
• Rights & Participation Management
• Media Management & Operations
• Scheduling & Programming
• Broadcast & Technology
• National Networks
Strategic Relationships
• Work with the business leaders to understand their strategic and emerging needs, as well as their current requirements and key initiatives.
• Integrates technology strategy into the business’ long-range plans and identifies opportunities that add long-term value.
• Participates in creating technology strategies and road map that assists the business in achieving their primary objectives.
• Builds formal and informal professional networks within AMCN and with outside technology firms.
• Trusted technology advisor to senior leadership
Business Enterprise Knowledge
• Makes decisions and recommendations clearly linked to the organization's strategy and financial goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics.
• Demonstrates awareness by providing clear explanations for actions taken relative to business requirements, needs and industry trends
Technology Sourcing and Internal Consulting
• Partner with the business in the sourcing of technology solutions to meet their needs
• Promote and market IT capabilities to the business
• Facilitate the planning and execution of business change and innovation through the use of technology
Results Oriented and a Change Advocate
• Competes resourcefully and takes calculated risks to achieve results.
• Identifies and acts upon opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates personal commitment to change through actions and words.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
• Senior AMCN business management team
• Senior AMCN IT management team
• Third party technology solution partners
• Third party implementation partners
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or business management.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant IT work experience.
• 5+ years as a senior IT leader managing teams of a minimum of 20+ individuals.
• Experience with SaaS and PaaS platforms.
• Experience implementing and supporting data integration platforms and Enterprise Service Bus technologies.
• Experience working within the Media & Broadcast industry preferred.
• Experience working within multinational organizations preferred.

• Ability to take the initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required in accordance with AMC’s strategic goals
• Superior organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment with competing priorities
• Blend of business strategy, financial acumen, and technology experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills – e.g., active listening, collaborative, and relationship building
• Highly self-motivated, detail oriented and ability to execute in fast paced, business critical environment
• Excellent judgment, problem solving, oral and written communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• An ability to drive decisions through consensus, influence change, and effectively resolves conflicts.
• Proven ability to work well in teams and influence others who may not have a direct reporting relationship
• Strong co-ordination skills
• Strong time management, prioritization, organizational skills, and attention to detail
