Blizzard Entertainment and Tespa are seeking a seasoned leader to cultivate relationships and build partnerships to grow our collegiate esports business. We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader to forge lasting partnerships with the biggest brands in collegiate sports and media globally.

This role is a mix between development of key partnerships, and the development of programs upon which the future of our business is built.
Key Responsibilities:
• · Identify and assess new business opportunities that meet Tespa’s strategic needs, including partnerships that unlock reach, revenue, and product opportunities
• · Lead day to day relationships with key external partners, including university leadership, conferences, sponsors, publishers, and media networks
• · Proactively identify potential business partners according to Tespa’s strategic priorities
• · Proactively cultivate partnerships with target companies across collegiate sports ecosystem
• · Lead partnership development, from prospecting, sourcing, negotiating, closing, and maintenance
• · Develop and implement standalone programs to build and grow relationships with partners
• · Work with internal teams to create pitch materials to present Tespa’s capabilities
• · Develop partnership proposals based on mutual interests, including potential programs, formats and designs, and business terms
• · Work with the esports team to execute against key programs, ensuring deliverables are met
• · Create and disseminate ongoing updates on partner relationships and initiatives to key internal stakeholders
Qualifications
• · 7+ years of business development experience at a leading sports, media, or gaming company
• · Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, management, and communication skills
• · Experience and comfort presenting to executive stakeholders
• · Experience leading, negotiating, and closing deals with industry-leading brands
• · Deep understanding of media, collegiate sports, and university landscapes
• · Comfortable balancing multiple projects and competing priorities
• · A passion for gaming, and/or college sports
• · Able to occasionally travel, including internationally
Pluses
• · Deep understanding of esports, including collegiate esports
• · Product management experience
• · Passionate player of video games
• · MBA or similar degree
