JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for leading enterprise-wide Marketing Communications program strategy and execution for Residential and Small & Medium Businesses (SMB). The scope of responsibility covers all product lines, including Video, Internet & Voice related initiatives.
Reports to the VP Marketing Communications and requires frequent interaction with cross-functional departments, peers and Senior Leadership across the Company. This includes frequent collaboration with Product Development, Government Relations, Legal, Customer Service, and Marketing teams.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Responsible for strategy and execution of communication programs for Residential and SMB customers including communications about products, pricing, and package features and changes.
Responsible for company and regulatory compliance notifications.
Lead Program Management of new product launch initiatives, such as “All Digital”, with accurate and on time execution of series.
Responsible for research and execution of crisis communications for customers with appropriate internal cross department communications and Executive updates.
Accountable for relationship management with vendors and internal groups to successfully execute digital and online tactics, direct mail, print, and automated calls.
Direct teams and manage programs with focus on minimizing impact for internal and external customers. This includes launch of new products, changes to products, including communication of features and benefits. Design and execute customer touchpoints, keeping customer experience a focus.
Responsible for associated databases and libraries that store required information.
Responsible for new market strategies, brainstorming tactics usage, and innovative approaches related to Marketing Communications.
Direct teams and cultivate group to maximize abilities and support growth.
Accountable for monthly and annual expense budget; manage forecasts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Proven leader with ability to align activities amongst team keeping the company vision in sight while providing appropriate guidance and direction to staff.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
Must have strong project management skills and be effective at planning, prioritizing and organizing multiple initiatives.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel as well as in public forums.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.
Ability to lead large, cross-functional teams in order to achieve business goals and results.
Possess strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data to support and reach sound conclusions.
Must be able to think strategically with excellent cognitive and communication skills.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.
Education
4 year undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred but not required.
Work Experience
Consumer Product Management, 5 + years
Cable, Internet or Telecommunications industry experience, 5 + years
Extensive corporate strategy experience and material P&L accountability required
