GLAMOUR is looking for a smart, creative, and strategic Associate Manager, Social Media to maintain and grow the brand’s social footprint across all platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and building a large social presence, an enthusiasm for connecting and engaging with a social audience, and a deep and thorough understanding of what kind of content—written, visual, and video—inspires engagement and sharing on Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, and other social networks.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Write, schedule, and optimize daily content across multiple social platforms, working with social and audience development leads to expand and refine social strategies as needed
• Pitch social and social-extension ideas to reach targeted audience segments
• Work with the Social Director to hone Glamour’s social voice and grow social presence on both established and emerging platforms
• Work with analytics staff to improve and refine reach and performance of social media to ensure the brand is meeting social and onsite growth goals
• Find and maintain relationships with content partners and social platform managers to develop syndication and partnership opportunities
• Work closely with editorial, marketing, and PR teams to ideate and execute social-focused initiatives
• Live cover GLAMOUR brand events and pop culture happenings such as the Oscars, MTV Music Video Awards, and red carpet appearances with entire social team.
Requirements:
• 1-3 years of relevant experience managing social media (content, photo, and video) for a large brand or media publisher.
• Ability to write and edit clear, creative, and clean copy in a fast-paced environment
• Intimate knowledge of the social media space, trends, and analytics platforms
• Very strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proven experience hitting key social metrics and skill with scheduling tools desired.
• Ability to work independently, quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
