Job Summary:
Responsible for managing video and audio equipment, such as video matrix
boards, video boards, electronic signage, audio system, cameras,
control room and production equipment. Maintains and supports broadcast
related equipment, sound and lighting systems, and other audio/visual
related equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs equipment, and provides
technical support. Works with moderate guidance in own area of
knowledge.
Core Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of all Enterprise-level production and post-production media systems, including but not limited to: signal routing, core timecode/reference systems, production switchers, servers systems, production audio systems and communications.
• Maintain various makes/models of High Definition broadcast equipment with an ongoing emphasis on IP technologies.
• The technical and operational performance management of resident Avid Technologies including; Airspeed, ISIS, Interplay, Transfer Manager, Media Composer platforms and all Avid technologies deployed in the environment.
• Assist on Remote productions as required
• Sets up lighting, software and/or hardware platform for composite
video capture.
• Provide hands-on technical support for live broadcast and studio event
activities.
• Installs, maintains, administrates, and repairs equipment and systems.
Maintains and ensures proper operation of all systems and televisions.
Coordinates video and audio routing throughout the facility.
• Updates and maintains all technical drawings related to all audio and
video equipment and signal paths.
• Performs off-season maintenance and preventive maintenance projects,
and secures competitive bids for facility maintenance and repair
projects.
• Participates in projects, such as purchase, design, installation,
documentation, and upgrades.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of equipment maintenance,
systems, inventory and project details.
• Helps determine the needs of the studio for capital expenditures.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specification:
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
• Generally requires 2-5 years related experience
