We are looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join our New York City SEM team.
The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for writing content in several client verticals and mediums. The position works closely with Strategy, Search, Design, UX and other teams to develop multidisciplinary content plans with the goal of producing outstanding content that is highly shareable, drives traffic to owned media properties and ultimately increases revenue for clients.
The ideal candidate possesses a mix of creativity and strategic thinking alongside excellent writing and editing skills.
Key Job Functions:
• Develop strategic content plans that include audience development, competitive landscape analysis, content ideation, and amplification strategy.
• Write and edit original and compelling content with the goal of improving brand awareness, website traffic, social sharing, leads and conversions.
• Develop strategic, original content ideas in various mediums, including infographics, videos, blog posts and more.
• Bring innovative, inspiring and award-winning thinking to MullenLowe clients to ensure we retain and grow the business.
• Report on content performance in a manner that is meaningful and actionable.
• Manage third party content partnerships and blogger outreach initiatives.
• Conduct content audits and gap analyses to identify data-driven content creation opportunities.
• Assist as needed in new business pitches.
• Proactively contribute to a positive team atmosphere and company culture.
requirements
• 3-5 years as a digital writer or editor in a data-driven organization.
• Experience writing and editing for various channels.
• Strong understanding of content marketing and content marketing landscape.
• Experience with analytics platforms and using data to optimize and inform marketing strategy and content creation.
• Interest and experience in creating content in various formats, including blog posts, videos, infographics, and more.
• Ability to adapt quickly to brand voice and style.
• Experienced in storytelling in a variety of formats and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience and starts a conversation.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills working closely with designers, copywriters, developers, SEO practitioners and other disciplines.
• Knowledge and experience optimizing content for SEO and social media and publishing content on CMSs.
• Agency experience a plus.
