Director, Talent Acquisition Comcast Business
Position Summary
The Director of Talent Acquisition for Comcast Business serves as a key leader for this critical growth channel. Informed by the objectives of the business and utilizing input from key stakeholders within Comcast Business leadership, this role will develop and execute a forward-focused and enterprise-minded talent acquisition strategy that will have a direct impact on the ability to deliver against our goals for commercial services business.
The TA professional will work to research, develop, and articulate an employment brand that highlights Comcast's differentiators and resonates with key talent. The leader will work with his/her team and colleagues to ensure the talent acquisition process is effective, efficient, and illustrates best-in-class candidate care. From a domain expertise standpoint, the Comcast Business recruiting organization will target innovative talent across the spectrum with a particular emphasis on attracting the skillsets required to deliver.
In order to ensure the strategy is well aligned with the business objectives of the organization, the position will need to develop strong relationships across multiple HR and business functions.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports to the Executive Director of Talent Acquisition for Comcast Sales & Growth, and manages a group of internal and contractor talent acquisition professionals. This position will also partner closely with colleagues in Comcast Business HR and Talent Management in order to define and implement a holistic HR strategy across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
• Hold ultimate responsibility for leading Comcast Business recruiting and hiring function.
• Develop a workforce planning process that anticipates skill requirements and builds the recruiting capability to ensure Comcast's access to the talent required to meet the current and future business needs.
• Partner with hiring leaders and Human Resources partners to ensure a diverse workforce including optimizing veteran and military spouse hiring.
• Develop and execute the Comcast Business talent acquisition team's strategic vision to achieve the goals and objectives of the company.
• Create a business plan for recruiting that matches resources, methods, and procedures to the forward-looking needs of sales stakeholders; serve as an advocate for those resources.
• Build relationships with internal leadership and human resources business partners to understand business strategies and future talent needs.
• Construct a data-driven recruiting organization, developing the recruiting metrics and analytics to provide insights, drive decision making, and measure team productivity and program ROI.
• Create and provide a high caliber and consistent experience for both hiring manager and candidate throughout the interview and offer process.
• Work with colleagues in talent acquisition to refine employer branding strategy, resulting in elevated candidate engagement with the goal of Comcast being viewed as an employer of choice for world class technology talent.
• Continuously improve the selection process and hiring decisions that reflect the diversity of Comcast's customers and business needs.
• Create and implement effective and efficient social media recruiting/sourcing strategies.
• Conduct market trend analysis regarding competitors, talent pools/insights and market changes.
• Recruit, manage and lead a world-class team of recruiters, coordinators and sourcers and motivate and coach these team members to success.
• Partner with talent acquisition metrics and analytics in the establishment of metrics to track and report on the status of activities while holding the team accountable for results.
• Build recruiter capability (business acumen, partnering and influencing skills) and create a strong sense of global team unity and engagement.
• Manage RPO relationships and strategy to optimize candidate generation and quality searches.
• Build the visibility and reputation of the Comcast employment brand within the communities it serves to champion strong community relations in order to effect positive change.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Generally requires 10+ years of experience. Minimum of 10 years of combined human resources and/or talent acquisition experience with specific management experience in talent building programs or projects.
• Demonstrated track record of success in recruiting within a sales and operations environment with a passionate focus on diversity.
• Strong customer care orientation exemplified by a history of implementing programs that promote an extraordinary candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Established record of success in building and managing a high performance talent acquisition team within a large, complex corporate environment.
• Demonstrated success in developing and leading teams to higher levels of personal and organizational performance.
• Proven track record of creativity in terms of solving complex challenges in diverse cultures.
• Proven ability to navigate and work within a decentralized organization with demonstrated success in leading and influencing change.
• A reputation for productively challenging the status quo and championing new initiatives in a professional services environment. Experience acting as a catalyst for change and stimulating others to change.
• Ability to learn quickly in response to shifting dynamics and change. Open-minded, agile and able to operate in a flexible manner.
• Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and success in influencing leaders across the company at all levels.
• A desire to create an impact throughout universities, various labor markets, the city of Philadelphia and the numerous communities in which Comcast does business. Strong metrics orientation with a track record of driving performance and evaluating the ROI of talent acquisition plans.
• Highly developed planning and organizational skills with the proven ability to translate business strategy and planning into actionable talent and recruiting strategies.
• Knowledge of social media, digital marketing, employment branding and other recruiting topics.
• Creative innovator with a track record for developing creative and progressive talent acquisition processes at an enterprise/global level.
