QUEST OBJECTIVES
Blizzard is looking for a self-motivated student with excellent technical troubleshooting skills to serve as a Desktop Build Intern. If you’re game to assist building, troubleshooting and configuring systems for Blizzard’s driven and busy employees. If you know PC and Apple hardware inside and out and can troubleshoot both Windows and Mac operating systems, networking issues, you’re well on your way!
Bring your passion for gaming and technology, along with your desire to dive headfirst into the IT field and get ready to:
• Build, configure, deploy, monitor, modify, and repair local and remote computers.
• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.
• Manage ticket requests
• Install and maintain Windows and Mac operating systems (OS).
• Troubleshoot PC hardware and software.
INTERN GUILD REQUIREMENTS
• Currently enrolled in a college or university, or planning to enroll in Fall 2016
• Returning for at least one more semester or quarter following the Summer 2016 internship
• Able to work fulltime hours for 11 – 12 weeks at the Blizzard office indicated in this job posting between May 31, 2016 – August 19, 2016 or June 13, 2016 – September 2, 2016 (group dates depend on when you get out of school)
• Authorized to work in the US
LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
• Extensive hardware experience (ability to build, diagnose, and repair computers; strong troubleshooting skills)
• Advanced knowledge of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows 7 and Apple OSX
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate and present complex issues and analyses in an effective manner
• Reliable and dependable with strong organization and time-management skills
• Able (and willing) to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
