Executive Director, Music Administration

Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking for a dynamic Executive Director, Music Administration. This role reports into the EVP, Music Creative Affairs and will be based at our Culver City, CA studio headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assess production needs to develop assumption which reflects relevant music production and licensing costs
• Manage transmittals for each production in addition to department overhead finances
• Negotiate and process documentation for all music editors, weekly timecards, equipment rentals, room rentals, etc.
• Prepare SAG / AFTRA contracts for each member of any choral ensemble hired to contribute
• Book and negotiate facilities for all scoring sessions, including both large and small ensemble recording sessions
• Attend and monitor all scoring sessions and serve as a liaison to music contractors, copyists, orchestrators and engineers
• Production liaison to marketing services for trailers, featurettes and new media supplying assets and ensuring quality
• Oversee all end credit runs ensuring all parties are satisfied with their credit
REQUIREMENTS:
• Position requires 7-10 + years of experience in a music administration role – either at a studio or as an independent contractor
• Deep knowledge of music compliance and union knowledge
• A sincere passion for music in film
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop, drive and contribute to overall strategy and business plans in a rapidly developing/changing environment
• Broad business and financial understanding and the ability to apply to human capital implications
• Must have excellent written and oral communications skills
• Self-starter/strong initiative
• Strong relationship builder; works effectively at all levels of the organization
• High influencing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to balance vision and creative thinking with analytical rigor to meet the organizations goals
• Ability to analyze metrics and draw actionable conclusions
