Overview
The Marketing Associate is responsible for creating, scheduling, and sending internal and sponsored emails, reporting results and conversions, and assisting in the creation and tracking of advertising through other channels. Additional responsibilities include setting up newsletter content, managing ad tags in email and on site, sending emails from publishing partners, assisting with management of social media channels, and consolidating and analyzing marketing metrics across channels.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
• Create memes for social media, driving email capture and other KPIs
• Provide marketing administration support for special projects or initiatives
• Work with advertising agency to update and manage ad placements in newsletters
• Request and/or create imagery from in house designers for marketing purposes
• Assist in tracking results of advertising, either via Facebook, Google Adwords, or other external platforms
• Create and regularly update various reports
• Present results of campaigns to Bible Gateway team
• Build newsletter templates and assist in creating e-blasts
• Schedule and promote Bible Gateway Newsletters and partner content as requested
• As directed, post text and imagery to social media channels and monitor success of social campaigns.
• Update copy on Bible Gateway using the CMS (content management system)
• Set up landing pages using the CMS
• Verify and record issues reported by customers to the Development team via Jira (ticketing system)
Qualifications
Knowledge:
Experienced in production of web-oriented content. Understanding of web, mobile app, and related trends and devices. Familiarity with ZenDesk, Jira, Word Press, Silverpop, DFP, Google Analytics, Facebook Business, and Google Adwords. A good working knowledge of the differences between mobile devices, programs used for communication and design, and the nuances found in computer operating systems will be essential. Familiarity with HTML code and formatting. Understanding and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Work Experience:
1-2 years of digital marketing experience strongly preferred
Languages:
English and Spanish
Education:
BA in related field (Marketing, Communication, Business)
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with and/or working knowledge of the content available on Bible Gateway required
Skills:
Ability to work in a distributed environment, Self-directed, Self-motivated team player, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment, Ability to keep a positive attitude, Work effectively on long-term and short-term projects simultaneously, bilingual preferred.
