Overview
The HarperCollins Sales Division is currently seeking a Marketing Assistant to support the Academic and Library Marketing department.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate all materials for library conferences - national and regional - including writing book order, working with booth vendors, creating digital jacket displays and compiling all materials for Earlyword.com
• Book and coordinate housing for authors at library conferences.
• Coordinate all materials for BEA - including flyers, handouts, postcards, galleys, etc.
• Attend Academic & Library conferences as necessary/Assist in author care at these conferences.
• Participate in title presentations as needed.
• With supervision, book authors for speaking events at libraries.
• Maintain galley tracking and galley mailings.
• Maintain content on Library Marketing’s Edelweiss catalog.
• With supervision, contribute posts on Library social media (including blog, newsletter, Facebook, Twitter).
• Process all bills/invoices.
• Administer all awards.
• Assist others in the department as needed.
Qualifications
• Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, well-organized and able to set priorities under pressure
• Proficiency with Excel & Powerpoint necessary
• Familiarity with InDesign and Photoshop helpful, but not required
• Limited travel required: within the U.S. up to 6 times a year
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 35lbs
