As a Programmatic Account Manager (PAM), you will serve as one of the primary day to day business contacts for our Agency Trading Desk partners, responsible for providing general customer service, set up of PMP and Programmatic Guaranteed campaigns, and acting as a liaison to the product operations group for matters requiring technical troubleshooting. The PAM is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent the company to the client to ensure quality and satisfaction on both sides. In addition, the Programmatic Account Manager will contribute heavily to the development of Bell Media’s Programmatic offering, and provide subject matter expertise to internal team members from Sales and Operations.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
The Programmatic Account Manager is responsible for the development of our programmatic buy-side partnerships. The PAM manages and monitors the day-to-day communication and activities within the online accounts, and the execution of Agency Trading Desk orders – Deal ID generation, order entry, ad trafficking, and creative troubleshooting (where applicable). In addition, the PAM provides regular reports to the customer and the Account Executive pertaining to the ATD’s performance. The PAM identifies opportunities within the account for up selling, cross selling, and works closely with the Programmatic Operations Manager to scope new product development priorities. To achieve this, the PAM must have a strong understanding of the relationship between Ad Inventory, Ad Servers, SSPs, DMPs, and DSPs.
Success in this role relies on the ability of the PAM to build a reputation of “trusted advisor” within the ATD, and to develop strong cross-functional relationships within the organization. Effective planning and communication skills, coupled with an ability to identify opportunities and understand emerging digital advertising technologies, are also key.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
• 3-5 years online advertising experience (ad operations, media planning, media buying) with at least 1-2 years dedicated to Programmatic executions
• Excellent working knowledge of ad technology platforms, including but not limited to: DFP, Index Exchange, AdX, and Krux
• Proven track record in campaign management and client development
• Experience with online advertising formats and trafficking (3rd party tags, Flash, JS, VAST, VPAID, SSP tags, pass-backs)
• A track record of making data driven decisions, and a high level of comfort with the procurement and organization of data/reporting – Must have solid experience with pivot tables, charts, and the manipulation of large data sets
• Ability to quickly adjust to emerging tools and technologies
• French-English bilingualism is required for the Montreal location, and an asset for Toronto
• Flexible and comfortable with change (technological, organizational) and a fast growing environment
• Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client
• Responsible for ATD related day-to-day activities:
◦ Client kick-off calls and subsequent communications
◦ Deal ID generation and implementation
◦ Programmatic Guarantee campaign set-up and monitoring
◦ Pro-active analysis of client performance
◦ Escalating technology related issues internally
◦ Providing support and education to I/O based account management team
◦ Assistance in the testing and development of programmatic product roadmap initiatives
• Reports to the Associate Director, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
