The Director of Ad Ops will lead cross team collaboration and execution, evangelize process efficiency and identify emerging trends in the digital advertising landscape.
Responsibilities:
Directly manage cross functional digital advertising operations team; including but not limited to video, display and programmatic
Oversight of high impact and custom ad unit builds and deployment
Work with product and tech teams to enhance ad serving solutions, revenue products and QA/Troubleshooting methodology
Manage the QA process of 3rd party tags
Own all third party relationships with revenue platform vendors, such as DFP, AdX, MOAT, Index Exchange, Rubicon, SpotXchange and others
Lead technical implementation of all third party advertising platforms for both supply and demand
Clearly communicate advertising capabilities and needs with sales, business development, editorial, tech and product teams
Work closely with pre and post sales support team to ensure successful delivery of all campaigns
Collaborate with Inventory & Yield team to maximize revenue across our portfolio of brands
Stay on top of ad tech, media, and general technology trends; translate them into POVs, share with product and business teams, devise ways to assimilate trends internally
Work with sales marketing to ensure go to market strategy matches ability to execution
Mentor, lead and grow a team of managers while collaborating with cross functional teams
Identify, implement, and integrate systems into most optimal ad operation infrastructure to maintain and/or increase functionality, efficiency, and stability of ad delivery
Qualifications:
5 -7 years of experience working in the digital media space, ideally with a premium publisher or ad tech company
Strong time management and organizational skills
Solutions oriented
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
De-bugging and troubleshooting (Inspector, Charles, etc.)
High level of proficiency of media operation platforms (DFP, MOAT, AdBook, SSPs, DSPs, DMPs)
Strong understanding of Rich Media, VAST, VPAID
Energetic self-starter with a positive “can-do” attitude
This role is based at our global headquarters in New York, NY and will report to the SVP of Monetization & Ad Products.
