Role Description:
TheInformation Security Coordinatorwould need to have an IT management degree with relevant intern or co-op experience. This is an entry-level position for the successful candidate that has interest in, and knowledge of, information security, cyber security, and privacy issues, and who is willing and eager to learn more about information security best practices. Must have the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute assigned tasks. This position offers growth potential for a motivated, self-directed individual.
Information Security Coordinator will support Comcast Business Services by tracking and cataloging all security hygiene activities. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for recordkeeping and assisting in the implementation of the security hygiene program, including:
-Closely working with the product, operations, engineering, and security organizations
-Helping to manage results to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
-Assisting with communicating policies and requirements to teams, and answering questions in connection with same
-Supporting teams with scheduling and executing of assessments and maintenance
Responsibilities:
-Manage relationships with Comcast Business Services and Technology & Product engineering teams
-Support technology and business processes as they relate to security hygiene activities
-Facilitate a metrics and reporting framework to track securityhygiene activities and measure the capability of the security hygiene program
-Collect, analyze and disseminate security hygiene metrics to the appropriate audience in a timely manner
-Track the security hygiene metrics reviewed and actioned
-Liaise with teams to ensure all security hygiene items are actioned accordingly
-Provide guidance and support to teams as it relates to security best practices
-Maintain up-to-date security policies, standards and guidelines
-Organize information security risk assessment process, including the reporting and oversight of treatment efforts to address findings
-Conduct regular security hygiene review meetings with key stakeholders and communicate metrics to leadership
-Mature the security hygiene program to ensure that it captures Leadership requirements and feedback
Required Skills:

-Able to juggle multiple activities and priorities
-Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to gain cooperation from product and engineering teams
-Proficient with document management software and Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
-Remain organized to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including team members, other internal departments and external parties
-Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
-Must exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters
-Must have excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills due to high amount of interaction with staff
-High level of patience and courtesy is required to deal with individuals and their varied technological skill levels
-Excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop quality reports and present at all levels
Preferred Skills:
-Interest in and knowledge of information security, cyber security, and privacy issues
-Awareness in managing regulated data environments, (e.g. PCI, SOX, FERPA, HIPAA, and COPPA) and exposure to privacy frameworks
-An understanding of attack vectors, current threats, and mitigation and remediation strategies for both IT and operational technology
-A firm grasp of the capabilities and limitations of information security technologies
Education and Experience:
-Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Manangement
-Technology project/program management experience
-Understanding of and familiarity with legal contracts a plus
-Experience with information security, cyber security, and privacy issues a plus
