Position Description:
We are looking for an analytics-driven individual who is passionate about using data to guide strategy and who can provide actionable insights to support the success of our content across all digital channels.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
This position will engage with all stakeholder to design well-constructed analyses and work cross-functionally with data analysts and digital media marketing teams, product managers and engineers to deliver excellence within our digital data and analytics program and will assist in leading business executives, users, and data producers to adopt best practices for data management processes and data quality standards, creating a culture of “enhanced data value” within the organization.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
• A strong knowledge of media audience data and customer behaviour in digital space
• Provide leadership and direction that deliver on projects such as content optimization, personalization, and identifying profiles of highly-engaged audience segments
• Continuously innovate and implement best in class analytics approaches to help achieve departmental goals
• Expert in manipulation and accurate analysis of complex, high volume, high dimensionality data from various sources
• Experience with implementation of large data sets, data lakes and data warehousing environments
• Experience developing advanced KPIs and algorithms around predictive intelligence and growth.
• Understanding of tagging structures for web analytics tools similar to Adobe Analytics/Omniture
• Experience building comprehensive data architectures for tracking, storing and making actionable consumer data from various sources.
• Experience building a large consumer database from scratch with knowledge of how to track both known and unknown profiles for actionable CRM tactics.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, Java, Hive and/or Hadoop
• Team-oriented and collaborative approach with a desire to learn new methods and tools
• Experience with data visualization techniques and tools like Tableau, and Microstrategy
• Experience leading a data engineering team pushing new products, integrations and data mapping.
• Familiarity and experience with broadcast entertainment, media planning,
• Proven experience in building data function/capabilities including staff, tools, and processes
• Ability to support key functional groups with the construction and analysis of applicable forecasts and models using multiple data sources to support assertions. This may include strategy documents and presentation materials.
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
• Degree/Diploma in Data Analytics/Sciences and/or equivalent experience is preferred
• Masters or MBA a plus
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
