Required Skills:
Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, this position provides support, administrative assistance, project work and analysis in the areas of Recruitment and Selection across North America.
We are looking for an experienced candidate who is motivated, enthusiastic to learn and has a desire to be part of a team – someone who will enjoy an opportunity to hire incredible talent for IMAX!
What you’ll be doing:
• Manage all summer internship hiring for IMAX Corporation across North America including sourcing, selection and onboarding of all IMAX summer interns.
• Execute internship program milestones including conducting presentations to Director, Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers.
• Responsible for coordinating and tracking various recruitment activities; assisting with the development of competency based interview questions, and setting up and conducting pre-screens.
• Recruitment administration: placing job postings internally as well as externally and coordinating interviews as needed.
• Recruit for entry level positions
• Assist in maintaining LinkedIn including providing feedback for website content.
• Complete reference checks for all potential new hires and communicate results to the hiring manager.
• Maintain confidentiality when working with employee files and sensitive information.
• Assist in coordinating Recruitment led events (Friends and Family screenings, National Engineering Month, Networking events, etc).
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, business communication and time management skills; Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with employees across all levels of the organization
• Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
• Minimum of 1.5 years’ experience (Recruitment preferred) within an HR Department
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with demonstrated expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using an ATS and working with clients to fill their requirements
• Experience with web-based applications, e.g., LinkedIn, ATS.
• Detail oriented, checking accuracy of work and providing consistent follow-up.
• Project management skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly.
• Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective problem solving/trouble-shooting skills.
