Job Description
Ubisoft Entertainment, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Sr. Multiplayer Game Designer. We are looking for a highly talented, motivated and experienced person for a new unannounced AAA project, based in our San Francisco studio. The Multiplayer Game Designer collaborates with design, engineering, and animation teams to create a fun and immersive experience that fulfills the creative vision and desired gaming experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and test multiplayer gameplay, including abilities, player to player interactions, balance, and skillsets
• Scripting to implement defined tasks
• Drive prototypes that prove out and challenge your designs, and iterate quickly
• Develop the character and player progression
• Collaboratewith engineers to tune player mechanics and AI
•Collaborate with World Director and environment leads to build multiplayer focused areas, levels, and arenas
•Work closely with other disciplines to create game content that delivers a rewarding and exciting experience for the player.
Qualifications
• 7-10 years of progressively complex related experience
•Experience in designing and scripting player mechanics, AI behaviors and game play systems
. • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
. • Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and organize work to meet objectives
. • Analytical approach to problem solving
. • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
. • Enthusiasm for on-going learning and self-development.
• High level of attention to detail
. • A passion for games and a keen interest in gameplay creation
