JOB SUMMARY
Spectrum Reach is in search of a Interaction/Visual Designer with enterprise experience and a focus in design. Must have experience across other UX disciplines, but be an expert in best practices and application of practices in the visual and interaction design for web and mobile (all mobile platforms).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Translates requirements, brand logic, and upfront UX & product strategy into effective, elegant designs
• Delineate difference between effective brand elements and effective UI elements and weigh the importance of each in interfaces
• Define and deliver on patterns that follow best practice and use-cases across multiple platforms delivering a cohesive/consistent experience across each
• Work closely with Sr. Manager in understanding end-user and needs around solutions and interface elements to solve said needs
• Work with multiple teams through development and deployment to ensure consistency and quality at all stages of the product lifecycle
• Have a clear understanding of application and use-cases around platforms and solutions and translate those into effective design decisions that put the user first
• Work closely with the larger team to support cross-platform consistency, define application interactions, and identify usability testing needs
• Work within cross-functional team to understand expectations, priorities, and necessary deliverables
• Documents and communicates design ideas to fellow team members, stakeholders, and clients
• Participates in brainstorming sessions, and wireframe and design reviews to help solve problems
• Willing to learn and be monitored by experienced designers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Ability to demonstrate UI design skills via portfolio
• Experience defining and building pattern libraries
• Experience or exposure to service design principles and/or best practice
• In-depth understanding of UX best practices
• Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience creating highly-detailed UX deliverables for complex interfaces
• Understanding of platform specific nomenclature
• The ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work
• Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed
• Strong client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
• Experience in user research and usability tests
Education
Bachelor's degree in Design / HCI / Related Field , or equivalent real world experience.
Related Work Experience Number of Years
UX design experience with at least 60% focus on IxD & VizD 3 – 5 yrs
Experience with common Interface Tools (Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Sketch)
