Job Summary:
The Director of Marketing and Promotions will work with programming, digital and sales management to develop, coordinate, and execute successful marketing campaigns; will supervise the brand management team to ensure the execution of all cluster initiatives; build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with traditional and non-traditional advertising outlets; serve as the liaison to our community, corporate and media partners. This is an inter-department level position and will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Programming.
Responsibilities:
• Develop creative and innovative grassroots, social, and digital marketing campaigns
• Represent the iHeart Media Brand as well as the 4 stations which make up the Norfolk team
• Assist the Sales team in creating revenue generating opportunities
• Execute all on site station events
• Lead the Promotions department through execution and station intiatives
• Work closely with Program Directors of each station as well as the management team
Qualifications:
• Leadership/Management skills – ability to effectively manage and develop multiple employees in a high volume, fast paced, and creative environment
• Key strategic contacts and strong familiarity with Hampton Roads
• Strong budget development and budget management skills
• Thorough understanding of digital goals and metrics
• Working knowledge and understanding of Radio Programming essentials specifically individual formats and their target audiences
• Ability to assist in maximizing terrestrial and digital revenue opportunities
• Technical knowledge of the web and its application to radio.
• Proven knowledge of effective brand strategies including graphic/logo design
• Excellent writing/editing and computer skills
• Experience working with PPM strategies
• Minimum of five years of management experience in promotions, marketing, radio or related industry
• Proven understanding of digital marketing-promotion and utilization of social networking
Education:
College education preferred
Certification:
Must have valid driver’s license and state mandated automobile insurance.
