Digital Campaign Manager
Role:
• This role is responsible for the delivery and management of digital advertising campaigns across News UK websites and apps as well as off-platform channels for The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun, in-line with commercial, marketing and client expectations.
• Campaign management, delivery analysis and reporting against agreed SLAs for Display, Video, Mobile and Branded Content ad campaigns.
• Working as part of a team, in a fast changing, often pressured environment, to deliver against tight deadlines.
• Liaising with various ad and creative agencies, rich media vendors plus ad platform and solution providers to deliver advertising solutions.
Accountabilities:
• Testing and delivery of premium advertising campaigns – on and off platform
• Delivery of advanced content, behavioural and demographic targeting campaigns
• Coordinate with team members to manage daily team workload
• Monitoring and prioritising incoming work requests from shared mailbox
• Receive, test, and implement advertiser creative against strict ad specs
• Quality assurance: working with third-party interfaces, downloading and previewing campaign ad tags and checking image/rich media creative
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve delivery/performance issues and advise sales and management as to revenue risk
• In-flight optimisation of digital advertising campaigns to ensure optimum delivery of premium inventory
• Liaising as required with third party ad product suppliers, creative agencies and advertisers
• Provide customers with reports and campaign updates on an agreed or as required basis
• Review third party reporting to investigate comparative pacing and performance data and for discrepancy purposes
• Provide in-depth insights into campaign delivery, optimisation techniques and performance to support team effort in securing repeat business
• Ensure quality by enforcing standard policies and procedures
• Review and provide feedback on new processes, product, and tool releases that will improve operational efficiencies
• Maintaining internal yield, traffic, benchmark and sell-through monthly reports
• Liaising and engaging as required with other News UK departments (including advertising sales, project managers, marketing, editorial, customer insight and technology)
Experience required
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required
• 4+ years Digital Ad Operations experience, preferably within a publisher/media owner environment
• Experience working in a service organisation preferred
• Experience with a major ad serving tool (DFP/DCM, AppNexus, Adtech, Sizmek, Adwords)
• Delivery of video, mobile and app advertising
• Experience with online third party solution/ad tag providers (Sizmek, FlashTalking, Atlas Unicast, etc)
• Experience with behavioural targeting booking and management techniques
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office and HTML required
• Experience in buying media using a DSP (beneficial)
• Experience in setting up and troubleshooting private and open marketplaces (beneficial)
• Good knowledge of using first and 3rd party data overlays (DMP experience beneficial)
• Knowledge of basic HTML and web analytics software preferred (Adobe Analytics beneficial)
• Strong Excel Skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP

• Must have the ability to extract and manipulate a variety of data for Senior Management, Sales and Finance

• Ability to work methodically, follow process and stick to defined workflows
