Editorial Assistant – Crown
Summary
Crown seeks an Editorial Assistant to support two Executive Editors and an imprint Director. This position provides an opportunity to assist with Crown Forum, Convergent and Image books.
Crown Forum, founded in 2002, began as a way to inform and contribute to the national dialogue and political discourse. Convergent Books publishes exceptional nonfiction that inspires, entertains, and illuminates meaning while helping readers and communities thrive through a faith perspective. Responsibilities:
• Write readers reports and fact sheets
• Evaluate and transmit manuscripts
• Point of contact for authors and agents
• Administrative tasks
• Coordinate the editorial and production process and handle special projects.
Requirements
• Must have prior office experience and a strong interest in nonfiction books
• Should be creative, a self-starter, exceptionally well organized and the ability to multi-task
• Strong communication and writing skills
• The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently
• Previous publishing experience preferred
Salary for this position is $38,000. Full-time employees are eligible for our comprehensive benefits program.
