Majestic Wines are the largest wine specialist in the UK with over 200 stores, as well as a very significant online presence, and megastores in France.
Following the merger between Naked Wines and Majestic, Rowan Gormley (Founder of Naked Wines and Chief Executive of the enlarged group), has set the wheels in motion of transforming the business into a new kind of retailer – a retailer that is loved by customers, loved by suppliers and loved by shareholders.
This transformation is brought to life by our talented team at the Support Centre, Watford, which houses all departments working behind the scenes such as People, Customer, IT, Transformation, Finance and Supply Chain.
Reporting to the Trade Planning Manager in the Customer team, this position will be leading the email team in planning, creating and delivering email strategy for Majestic customer segments as well as continually optimising to grow ROI.
KPIs:
Half year two email performance + 25% LFL
Creating optimum email strategy & execution
Triggered campaign set-up & optimisation
Overseeing successful ESP move to Adestra
Management of Direct Marketing Manager role
Responsibilities
Overseeing management of all marketing campaigns including broadcast, targeted, triggered and all other CRM comms.
Analysing weekly, monthly and yearly data to increase key KPIS: OR, CTR, CR and revenue per email
Managing the A/B testing plan and overseeing analysis for continuous improvements
Managing trade planning calendar for all email comms
Close liaison with Buying & Merchandising team and the rest of Customer team on product selection
Close liaison with email service provider including monitoring of performance before and during campaign
Reporting on campaign performance KPIs
Leading systems transfer to new email provider for broadcast and triggered
Understanding customer segmentation and planning to continuously evolve personalisation of campaigns
Communication to management of weekly, monthly analysis and on-going strategy
Adopting Tableau as analysis tool
Knowledge and Skills
Passionate about email and its growth & ROI
Strong proven record of test & learn strategy
Strong skills in manipulating data and analysing results
Strong knowledge of ESP system
Generation of effective ideas
Commercially driven
Strong communicator and good team player
Strong attention to detail
Basic wine knowledge preferable but not required
