POSITION OVERVIEW:
If you’re someone who likes being involved in the early stages of something big and stable, we have an opportunity for you. We’re looking for a stellar technology Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead the marketing efforts for our Data Networking Services. Working across and with cross functional marketing teams, sales channels and product managers, you’ll own the product marketing plan, drive the go-to-market initiatives, articulate product positioning and messaging and look for opportunities to help the product evolve and grow in the market. As a member of a new high growth division, you’ll find that Spectrum Enterprise isn’t your everyday routine company and that efforts will directly support something big, visible and needed. And you’ll be working with networking technology that advances how companies communicate with SD-WANs, Ethernet and Layer-3 services.

Your solid go-to-market plan for your product will be the beacon that other teams leverage, which will provide harmony to the marketing efforts. YOUR PRODUCT:
For this role, you’ll be the go-to-person at Spectrum Enterprise for the marketing of Ethernet Services, Internet Access and Software Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) and other technologies that enable workers, organizations, machines and end user applications to connect and interoperate seamlessly. You’ll also be working with related services like Managed Security, Cloud Computing and WiFi solutions to create even more value for mid-market and enterprise customers.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED:
To be considered a strong candidate, you’ll have the following experience:
• 12+ years professional experience
• 7+ years of marketing experience (or marketing and sales), including product marketing or management assignments and revenue-producing or share-building activities
• 3+ years’ experience recently selling, marketing or managing high-tech services or products
• Specific experience or familiarity in networking technology, internet services, voice or collaboration products, cloud services, software or video solutions is highly desired and experience with the specific technology in this role is a significant plus
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify and present complex information into easily understood content
• Strong, positive interpersonal and communication skills to quickly inform or influence others and help work groups proceed quickly to a favorable outcome
• Revenue and results focused with proven history of how you have impacted other companies
• Lastly, your experience with marketing to business markets and complex sales cycles will help you rise above others
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the product positioning and lifecycle marketing of the assigned product area:
◦ translate product features into buyer benefits
◦ segment market to identify target customers, identify product-specific applications and develops target customer profiles
◦ evaluate and articulate competitive differentiation
◦ develop relevant value propositions, messages, positioning statements and commercial insights
◦ promote and sell the products through a combination of sales channels across all phases of the buyer’s journey
• Responsible for the development of the go to market plan and execution for the assigned product area:
◦ evaluate integrated marketing programs, developing and qualifying market opportunities
◦ define product personas and developing solutions-specific commercial insights
◦ develop sales enablement tools and content strategy to promote product
◦ design effective strategic product incentives with internal teams to drive success
• Serve as the subject matter expert to support the content teams in the development of product brochures, product factsheets, collateral, marketing materials, whitepapers, web site content and customer case study to promote product portfolio
• Maintains thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics to help shape product, marketing and sales for success:
◦ present findings and make recommendations to team members and leadership as appropriate
◦ manages/Perform data driven competitive intelligence and market comparisons and studies to be used in business case development for product roadmap decisions and sales messaging and positioning
◦ monitors marketplace and competitive activities for appropriate positioning and differentiation
◦ develops competitive positioning analysis and evaluate product functionality and pricing placement
• Contributes to development and maintenance of effective sales tools and training
• Work with Analyst Relations team, product management and industry analysts to promote products and develop positive perception in the influencer community
• Interface with other functional areas to include: product management, offer management, sales, operations, marketing communications, finance and vertical marketing teams
• Other duties as may be assigned to help Spectrum Enterprise accomplish its mission
EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree; preferred Business or Marketing emphasis or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred
TRAVEL: Travel requirements are approximately 15-25%
