DALLAS LOCATION

Studio offices are in LA, Montreal and Dallas.
The Production Manager manages the day-to-day operation of the production including crew scheduling and budgeting, ensuring that the production goals are met within budget and schedule parameters
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist Associate Producer and Producer in the development of production budget.
• Identify cost variances and monitor costs incurred from approved production budget; recommend corrective action as necessary.
• Prepare and follow-up on signing of contracts for Directors, Writers, and voice talent.
• Coordinate screen credits for the production’s final credit cards and main credit roll.
• Review and code production related purchase orders, invoices, and expenses.
• Prepare production staff listing / contact list, organized and coded by suite and department. Update as often as changes are made and distribute through departmental production coordinators.
• Liaise with Facility Manager to ensure adequate resources (i.e. furnishings, lighting, and stationery supplies/items) for the production.
• Monitor production staff attendance and approve production staff requests for time off.
• Track production staff vacation entitlement.
• Distribute, approve and code production staff time sheets. Liaise with Payroll Administrator on discrepancies or anomalies. Ensure that timesheets are completed and delivered to the Payroll Administrator in time every two weeks.
• Make recommendations for improvements to production systems, particularly with-respect-to scheduling, flow of information, milestone realization, and resource management.
• Provide Producer and Associate Producer with activity reports on a weekly basis.
• Perform other various duties as assigned by the Producer and Associate Producer.
• Provide a forum, guidance, and direction for crew members who communicate production / work related issues, promoting an open door policy between, staff, departments and Production Management personal. * Project Management – proven ability in managing projects from concept to completion. Able to prioritize appropriately and always meet deadlines.
• Excellent Teamwork – ability to assemble and motivate teams and work effectively with others.
• Superb Written & Verbal Communication – good at following directions; Ability to interact with and integrate requests of directors, broadcasters, executives and clients.
• Organization – demonstrated organizational skills including attention to detail.
• Strong Problem Solving Skills.
• Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s (BA) degree from accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience
• Experience in traditional 2D and 3D animation production.
• Experience as an accomplished Production Manager, and / or Production Coordinator.
• A thorough knowledge of production and animation process.
• Proficient in MS office suites including Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of budgeting and scheduling software.
• Experience creating, maintaining and editing film / television / animation budgets.
• Established industry relationships – networked well within the industry.
• Familiarity with the service companies (i.e. talent agencies, voices, sound, etc.)
