Research Project Coordinator
Austin, TX
Metrostudy is currently seeking a Research Project Coordinator. The Research Project Coordinator will work directly under the local Research Manager in maintaining the proprietary real estate database. This individual will perform periodic audits of county records, online, by phone, and in person. He/She will obtain and update contact information from local building companies, research, and enter data for new home builder projects at the Research Manager’s direction.
Other responsibilities will include reading county and city planning minutes, organizing subdivision plats/site maps, and preparing territory boxes for quarterly research. The quarterly processing cycle falls around a holiday every quarter. (Easter/Spring Break, 4th of July, Labor Day, Christmas) Extended vacation time is not allowed during these periods.
At times the Research Project Coordinator will be required to travel to residential subdivisions and perform field research and data collection at county offices.
Major Job Responsibilities and Related Duties:
• Audit municipal housing records in person, online, and by phone
• Maintain relationships with local building companies
• Enter data for new home builder projects and proactively correct data errors as needed
• Review municipal real estate planning documents
• Organize housing development site maps
• Assist the Research Manager in preparing research materials for quarterly subdivision surveys
• Perform quarterly field research and data collection as needed
Job Qualifications:
• Ability to work independently on large, multi-faceted, deadline driven tasks
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to formulate and execute basic internet searches and perform research in person municipal offices
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Strong computer and analytical abilities with proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to drive through residential subdivisions and perform subdivision field research; candidates must have access to car and have a clean driving record
Candidates who are offered the Research Project Coordinator position will be required to submit to a background check reviewing criminal and driving records, and verifying past employment and any educational programs completed.
