To sustain its growth, Ubisoft is hiring for its production studio located in Paris. Within this studio our teams developed recently: “Ghost Recon Wildlands”, “Mario + Rabbids : Kingdom Battle”, “Just Dance 2018” and contributed to “Watch_Dogs 2.”
Your Daily Adventure
Being part of the Montreuil production studio, you will join the production team of a AAA Game. Under the management of the Narrative Director, you will create consistent and believable narrative structures that enrich the world and fantasy of the game.
Your missions will cover:
• Help building the narrative structure of the game from the breaking and outlining of story and characters over cut-scenes and sequences to the writing of cinematic synopses
• Understand elements of gameplay and consider how they might affect the development of the story
• Understand elements of Narration and story telling
• Formalize, document and update the narrative structure and its implementation, according to the principles established by the Narrative Director
• Describe narrative situations, create documents defining their content, their role in the course of the game
• Participate in the development of specific features and assets to the narrative/scripted events, as well as in their implementation and debug
• Throughout the production, make necessary changes on narrative systems and scripted events according to feedbacks, to provide a consistent narrative experience and the desired player experience
• Use our internal tools to design, integrate and debug specific features and assets for the narrative events
Qualifications
• Graduated from a Game Design cursus
• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in narrative designor any other relevant experience
• You have already shipped a game, preferably a AAA
• Excellent understanding of game design fundamentals and processes
• Understanding of narrative elements across genre or media and a writing experience would be a plus
• Good knowledge of game production pipeline
• You have a strong interest for Video Games
• Excellent organizational skills and Ability to adapt to feedbacks
• Fluent in English
