Bloomberg Global Data Tech Ops is building an Operations team to help realize Global Data’s high-level business objectives by driving our project sponsorship and prioritization, strategically allocating department resources, and demonstrating impact through data-driven analytics. The role demands an analytical thinker capable of quickly responding to the ever-changing needs of Bloomberg’s Global Data department, effectively evaluating their impact and judiciously prioritizing those which best serve our ever-expanding data needs.
The Team will:
• Institute process for effective vetting and prioritization of incoming projects
• Define and evaluate technical and business requirements for project proposals
• Strategically evaluate ROI of competing priorities and business requirements
• Establish transparent framework for tracking project metrics and resource allocation
• Maintain governance and best practices for project management
• Curate meaningful, department-wide analytics reflecting resource productivity
We will trust you to:
• Collaborate with business managers to gather technical requirements and guide product development based on Global Data dependencies
• Research, analyze, and prioritize projects with relevant business, engineering, and data stakeholders
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand priorities and resource requirements
• Strategically manage resources to respond quickly to changing business needs
You should have:
• 3+ years of previous experience in project management, information technology or process engineering
• Demonstrated ability to plan and run meetings with senior management both inside and outside of your immediate group
• Ability to establish and formalize new processes and framework with minimal guidance
• Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio products
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills
