Web Producer, London
Macmillan Education, part of SpringerNature, is looking to recruit a skilled Web Producer to work on the creation and delivery of digital content. The role will be based within the Global Operations Department, located in London.
The main responsibility of this role is to manage digital build and optimisation of interactive educational content for a variety of Learning Management platforms. This requires working closely with editorial and platform development teams and various third party developers and suppliers.
To be successful in this role you must have a can do attitude, and be able to handle html, css, xml. You will need to be proficient in handling multimedia assets, with the ability to process images, video and audio files. Working within defined content delivery systems and processes, you will follow the company’s production and workflow guidelines, and suggest possible improvements as technical dependencies change over time.
Essential requirements:
• Good HTML, CSS, and XML skills
• Adobe Photoshop proficiency.
• A proven track record in Project Management.
• Experience of working with UX design teams
• Ability to efficiently process a high volume of content
• Good organisational ability to work towards different deadlines
• Solid prioritisation skills to be able to work on multiple projects
• A team player with a can do attitude. Someone that will take on extra tasks and push to continually improve content across our websites
• Strong interpersonal skills
• An aptitude to learn new systems and software tools quickly
• Experience of Digital content delivery workflows
• Understanding of end to end digital development workflow
Desirable requirements:
• Experience of uploading content in Wordpress, Drupal, and general CMS use.
• Confident approach to working within cross functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder priorities
• An understanding of Publishing processes and products
• Experience of working with Learning Management Systems
• An understanding of print production workflows and scheduling
• An understanding of Agile methodology
• Educated to degree level
