Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an Associate Editor to join the Custom Content Studio team, specializing in our MM&M brand subject matter area. This position is located in our New York, NY office.
Job Overview:
The Associate Editor of the Custom Content Studio is dedicated to the creation of brand content initiatives (custom and native content) for commercial partners of Haymarket’s MM&M business brand. The Custom Content Studio provides an array of content across platforms ranging from: surveys, eBooks, live panels, websites/microsites, social media promotion, native advertising, content amplification, videos, podcasts, infographics, data visualization, events, print features, and experiential activations. The Associate Editor will be an MM&M subject matter expert who can work on other brands where necessary, executing content to meet client needs, to deadline.
Responsibilities:
• Be the subject matter expert for the MM&M brand within the Custom Content Studio
• Work on content creation and production to meet deadlines for MM&M custom output
• Be a key part of overall content quality and creative execution of the Custom Content Studio
• Work with internal content teams (Editors) and Content Hub art/production staff to ensure quality content and development
• Work with in-house teams and freelancers as required to achieve best quality and timely execution
• Work with MM&M and other business brand clients to deliver the specific needs of assignments
• Help conceive integrated programs from large to small across multiple platforms, collaborating with content and sales teams
• Take a client-facing role, when necessary, to help translate brand thought-leadership goals into tangible content plans
• Contribute to efforts to increase emphasis on digital products versus print; enhance use and quality of video, data visualization, animation, podcasts, and all multimedia
• Utilize analytics and metrics-based system for measuring success of content, traffic growth, efficiency, and ROI
• Stay abreast of emerging technology and leading-edge industry trends for content marketing and custom content creation
Skills and Requirements:
• 5+ years content experience (preferably including experience producing branded content)
• B2B or B2C experience; appreciation of the mission of B2B
• BS/BA degree in journalism or English, or related
• Top-notch content creation and editing credentials
• Knowledge of marketing and communications sectors; knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing industries
• Strong experience in digital content and knowledge of typical content workflows and processes
• Highly literate on social media and mobile
• Experience producing and managing video and other multimedia content
• Strong project/process management skills; multitasker who can juggle projects and work with different departments
• Great with clients and working with commercial teams
• Strong communication skills, written and oral; positive attitude, enthusiasm; high emotional intelligence
• Proven team player, collaborative; resourceful and strong at resource management
